What Will the Evening Cover?

Menopause can coincide with changes in symptoms, exercise tolerance, muscle strength and bone health. This evening will provide practical information to help you understand these changes and stay active through menopause and beyond.

Perimenopause

Understand the transition towards menopause and how changing symptoms may influence exercise, recovery and everyday activity.

Menopause

Learn practical ways to approach physical activity and exercise as your health needs and goals change.

Bone Health

Learn why strength, balance and appropriate weight-bearing exercise become increasingly important for maintaining bone health.

Strength & Healthy Ageing

Explore realistic strategies for maintaining strength, physical capacity and confidence with exercise as you age.

Who Is This Event For?

The evening is designed for women who are approaching menopause, experiencing perimenopause or menopause, or want to understand how exercise, strength and bone health can support healthy ageing.

If you are noticing changes in strength, recovery, joint or tendon symptoms, balance or bone health during midlife, our Perimenopause Physiotherapy guide explains these physical changes in more detail.

Meet Your Presenters

The evening will be presented by Erin Runge, Physiotherapist, and Madison Stanley, Exercise Physiologist, from PhysioWorks. Erin and Madison will provide practical education about staying strong, active and confident through perimenopause, menopause and later life.

They will discuss how physiotherapy and exercise physiology can support women through changes in strength, exercise tolerance, musculoskeletal health and bone health, with practical strategies you can apply to everyday activity and exercise.

The presentation provides general education rather than individual medical or exercise advice. If you have osteoporosis, an injury, significant symptoms or another health condition, an individual assessment can help determine an appropriate exercise starting point.

Free Event Extras

Lucky Door Prize

Attendees will have the chance to win a lucky door prize valued at more than $200.

Free Tote Bag

Every attendee will receive a free tote bag.
