Kelvin is a registered physiotherapist after having graduated from the University of Queensland with a Masters of Physiotherapy Studies. Kelvin previously practised in a musculoskeletal physiotherapy private practice clinic, treating various sport and work injuries and managing post-operative rehabilitation.
Before becoming a physiotherapist, Kelvin received a Bachelor degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences (Honours) as well as a certificate for Fitness Assessment and Exercise Counselling from York University in Canada.
As a Certified Exercise Physiologist in Canada, Kelvin worked with a wide variety of people including those with chronic health conditions such as diabetes and hypertension, as well as sportspeople including the top ice hockey players in the world.
Kelvin is also a qualified sports trainer and has worked with a variety of sports teams, including rugby league and union, basketball, soccer, volleyball and cricket. This has given Kelvin experience in the acute management of injuries. Despite this sporting background, Kelvin equally enjoys working with patients with chronic conditions such as neck pain and low back pain.
Kelvin’s academic background and training have provided him with an excellent understanding of the human body and its movement. This has led to his holistic approach of utilizing hands-on skills as well as exercise programs for the management of various conditions.
Outside of work, Kelvin enjoys an active life while playing basketball and lifting weights at the gym. To relax he enjoys video games and going to the movies.
