Alex Kearney joined the PhysioWorks team in 2018 after graduating with a Masters of Physiotherapy from the University of Queensland in 2017. Prior to that Alex was awarded a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science (UQ) in 2014, which provides her with an excellent background in exercise and sports rehabilitation.
Alex has been associated with sports injury management at the Brisbane Lions AFL Club and Morningside AFL since 2017. This has helped her to broaden her acute and elite sports injury knowledge in a sport that she holds a great passion.
Through a history of personal involvement in sporting activities, both competitively and as a coach, Alex also has strong interests in athletics, touch football, cricket, softball, volleyball, rowing, swimming, cross country and netball. As a result, she has good insight into specific injuries in each of these sports. She has been an Exercise Physiologist and personal and group fitness trainer at several gyms.
Alex has a particularly keen interest and enjoys treating shoulders, knees and ankles. She is an enthusiastic and compassionate physiotherapist who loves working with people of all ages.
You'll feel comfortable and confident in Alex's professional assessment and treatment. She uses her knowledge of the recent evidence surrounding injuries and management to provide optimal care to her patients.
